items to wear in the evening that not expensive

ATTN ALL MODELS!
Shoot wear exchange program?

So this may not be a new idea, but this type of group is so perfect for making this happen - tried on Craigslist to no avail -

I don’t know about y’all, but I do the bulk of my shoot wear dress shopping (other things too, but dresses seem to be the biggest space consumer) at thrift stores - goodwill/savers/arc, etc - and consignment stores with decent sales when possible ...

In following the rule of wearing 1 outfit per portfolio picture (or there about) I go through dresses and some outfits SO quickly - that despite the economical prices, results in a shit ton of dresses/outfits I will wear maybe once more, of more often than not, never wear again - cluttering my closet, and giving me anxiety about just donating them after such minimal use..cause despite nominal cost, I just feel like it’s a waste.. items to wear in the evening that not expensive

So what if we set up an outfit exchange group for all of us local models? It would give those cute shoot outfits extra life, and it would save us ALL a substantial amount of $ and closet space!

Someone better at this than me with an idea how to make it work - logistics w/sizes etc SO welcome...

But we could maybe group our stuff into sizes, each of us bring like, 5-15 outfits, and we’d be able to take home all new to us outfits specifically for shooting in! Same with shoes, and maybe even some costume jewelry, etc!

It gets expensive dropping $50-100 at thrift stores even on things that can only be worn once or twice!

Our portfolios and wallets would improve. And if there were certain things we ultimately wanted to keep, either not put them in the exchange or figure out a way for the original owner to have their items returned.

We could take photo catalogs of our outfits/dresses/accessories, have everything sorted my size, and set up somewhere we could all try things on and go home with all ‘new’ outfits to shoot in.

Maybe do this once a month to start, then perhaps every week or 2 once it picks up?

If anyone has ideas to add to this/alter/how and where we could facilitate this..that’d be awesome! I just started a page, but I don’t know if it’s necessary- what do you guys think?
